Bank Account Verification Help

If you have not received the 2 small verification deposits and they have not been posted to your bank account.  One of the following scenerios could be the reason:


Scenario 1

The routing / bank account numbers submitted to Dwolla may be incorrect.

Solution

  1. Log into Dwolla.com.
  2. Click Bank Accounts on the menu on the left.
  3. Locate the bank account in question which was added then click Remove under the Options heading on the right.
  4. Click Add Bank Account.
  5. Add the financial institutions routing and account number paying close attention to the numbers. Check twice, click submit once!


Scenario 2

The bank account you are attempting to use, may not be eligible for this type of money transfer process. (401k and money market accounts may not be eligible to accept transfers from external companies)

Solution

  1. Log into Dwolla.com.
  2. Remove the existing account.
  3. Add a new account which is a checking or savings account.


Scenario 3

The 2 small deposits have not as yet shown up in my bank account?  (Could be due to bank policies).

Solution

  1. Wait up to 72 hours (3 business days) for the deposits to show.
  2. Call your financial institution to inquire about the deposits.
  3. If no deposits were made assume Scenario#1 is the cause.
