How do I Find Peers & Friends Who Accept Dwolla?
Using Your Social NetworksAny of your contacts can accept Dwolla payments or Dwolla payment requests. Send or request money from any of your contacts including the following types of contacts.
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Facebook friends
- Twitter followers
- LinkedIn contacts
When you choose any of these contacts & the contact is already registered with Dwolla, this will be automatically recognized by the system. Otherwise the unregistered contact will be notified of the activity privately via the associated network. For example, a Twitter follower you request money from would receive a direct message, or an email address you send money to would be emailed.
To send or request money to any of your social network connections (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), you must first connect your Dwolla account to that social network.
Using Dwolla ProxiDwolla Proxi, shows all Dwolla peers near you, not just those registered as merchants or non-profits, so that you can easily transact with these peers. Dwolla Proxi, which stands for 'proximity' is available via the free Dwolla mobile app on the following devices & is coming soon to all Adriod devices.
