Shopify is a great shopping cart platform which supports Dwolla payments in their checkout process. 

Currently, Shopify is in BETA with the Dwolla offsite gateway. To activate Dwolla payments please call Shopify at 1.888.746.7439 and request they activate the Dwolla payment gateway. Once they turn this on you'll be able to:

• view Dwolla in your Shopify account under Preferences >> Checkout & Payment.
• select Dwolla and add your API credentials.

Setting up your Shopify account with your Dwolla API credentials ensures that the payments that pass through your website via the Dwolla option are applied to your Dwolla account. Do NOT use anyone else's Dwolla credentials unless you want your money to be automatically routed to them ;)

When activating an application inside of Shopify to accept Dwolla payments securely, Shopify will request: 

• Account Number - This is your Dwolla ID # which is located at the top of the page above your username when logged into Dwolla.
• Application Key - This is generated by Dwolla in the steps below.
• Application Secret - This is generated by Dwolla in the steps below.

To configure your Dwolla account to integrate with Shopify, follow these simple steps:

1. Sign into your Dwolla account.
2. Click "Grid Permissions" on the left hand menu.
3. Click "Developers, edit the settings for your registered applications here."
4. Click "Create Application".   Below are the fields required. (**For the sake of this example we will use "https://shop.dwolla.com" as the storefront URL but you should change the URL to your storefront).

• Application Name - This is your store name. In our case "The Dwolla Shop"
• Application Website - This is the URL for your store. In our case "https://shop.dwolla.com"
• OAuth Callback URL - This is the URL for your store. In our case "https://shop.dwolla.com"
• Payment Callback URL - This is the URL for your store. In our case "https://shop.dwolla.com"
• Payment Redirect URL - This is the URL for your store. In our case "https://shop.dwolla.com"
• Reason for Application - "Shopify Storefront"
• Permissions - You will not actually be grabbing your customers information. You can select all the fields but this will not be viewable to you.

     5. Accept the terms and click "Create Application"


The next page will have the Application Secret and Application Key to copy and paste into your Shopify store. Copy and paste and you're off and running.

Dwolla will now show up as a payment option in your storefront ;)
